Graduate Engineer Trainee, December 2005 – Present Day
• Working in the EIM Team of the Siebel CRM COE, in the India Innovation Center.
• Mainly worked on the following technologies: Java/J2EE, Oracle-PL/SQL, Shell Scripting, EIM Interfaces and Data Management.
• Projects worked on:
1. GE Power Controls – Europe (Uniway Project):
• The migration of GEPC Europe from their existing model to a common Siebel application.
• Worked as a single resource on the Siebel-Data Warehouse integrating Java Interface using Java servlets and JAXP XML parsing.
• Worked extensively on Siebel EIMs, PL/SQL procedures for automated dataloads.
• Developed several processes to keep the two systems in sync at design level and automated cron job execution of the data interfaces.
• Developed and tested 3 dataload interfaces for transferring data from Data warehouse to Siebel.
• Used GE’s TSF – J2EE framework for building the adapter interface.

2. GE Consumer and Industrial (ITR Autocase):
• Developed a Java application to pull data from GE Mainframes and create automated service requests in Siebel.
• Used Java Network programming and Siebel Java API programming to automate the creation of of service requests with continuous input from mainframes.

3. GE Power Controls – Europe (BatMon) Six Sigma:
• Developed a Java application to monitor server batch jobs (cron initiated data loads).
• Used TSF – MVC framework of GE to create a portlet like application with single service – many request type of architechture.
• Used AJAX for the asynchronous updation of server status, database status, log updation and data load job staus.
• Underwent several training programs at GE :
1. Training on Oracle-SQL.
2. Training on PL/SQL.
3. SIX SIGMA – Green Belt Training.
4. Siebel Basics.
• Gained considerable knowledge of the GE Processes and organizational behaviour.

Research Projects

An Improved Thinning Algorithm for use in Image thinning and character recognition:
National Institute of Technology – Allahabad Year: 2005

• This project was done in the final semester. It involved designing of an improved thinning algorithm and a software for testing the effectiveness of the same.
• Involved in the design of the algorithm and made a valuable addition to the logic to reduce erosion hairs during image thinning.
• Involved in the development of the software built over the algorithm using Visual Basic to demonstrate the image thinning and character recognizing capabilities.

OS in Browser ( An attempt to create an Online Operating System) : Personal Venture – Still under Progress

• The Idea stuck while working on the college web portal project and Content management system and Started to work on it by end of 2005.
• Currently successful in integrating an open AJAX framework with the main “Request Dispatcher” servlet, providing a no refresh request handling.
• Other success and progress include designing a ‘BinB’ (Browser inside browser) for the Online OS using DHTML DOM.
• The current progress is in request – response optimization.
• Plans include designing a cluster file space for the venture so as to maintain each user’s files online.

Technical Projects Involving Development

• Redesigning NIT-A Website with CMS capabilities:

This project was done as a part of the “Institute Automation project” done under the direct funding of the Ministry for Human Resource Development (MHRD).The objective of the project was to design a dynamic website for the institute and reducing the administrators task by designing a content management system(CMS).This was designed and implemented using PHP and MySQL on Apache server(Linux), under the guidance of: Dr.KrishnaKant, (Head Of the Department) CSED – NIT Allahabad.

• Inventory for hardware manufacturers:

This project was done as a part of “Information Systems” course during the pre-final year. This software is a database driven inventory management software with complete scalability and distributed use. This software was also presented with a redistributable installer package for client systems and the server had the database. This was done using Visual Basic and MS SQL Server7.

Satyam Infoway – Sify.com – June-July 2004
(Intern) PHP Developer in designing a CMS for sify.com’s Education portal. (PHP,MySQL,JavaScript)
Designed a Content management system in PHP for the Education portal of Sify.com.
